In taking a tour of some of the most important sites of the Civil Rights Movement and Martin Luther King Jr.’s life, Jesse was mindful of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, and specifically the Beatitudes found in Matthew 5:1-12. Her learned new music along the way and used his music to heal others. He was joined on this Sunday by musician friends Len and Wendy and together they brought us hymns and a sermon of music centered on issues of peace and justice. (This was largely a musical sermon so no sermon notes are provided.)
