Sometimes, as happened to the disciples on Pentacost, we get a taste of heaven here on earth: a moment of unity in diversity, a moment of justice, a moment of peace and goodwill among people. These tastes of heaven can show us what it would be like to experience heaven on earth and give us something to strive for. Atomic fireballs were distributed to the congregation to give them “tongues of fire.”
