Conflict Resolution Through “Difficult Conversations” – Led by Keith Seat
Keith will be offering a conflict resolution class using “Difficult Conversations: How to Discuss What Matters Most,” by Douglas Stone, Bruce Patton & Sheila Heen (2010). The class will also be working with Ron Kraybill’s StyleMatters instrument on conflict styles and other practical exercises. The focus is on addressing actual conflicts in our lives working with real situations that people will be invited to share and work with during the class, as well as practice through role plays. While participants will be invited to do a significant amount of reading/homework, each assignment will include a minimum recommended amount for those who can’t do it all but still want to get a lot out of the class. Keith will bring books on Sunday for those who indicate by Wednesday that they want one; the price is $9 (which can be reduced if burdensome).
