Walt Michael and Company
One of America’s most celebrated hammer dulcimer players, Walt Michael has performed with the Pilobolus Dance Theater on Broadway, at the Kennedy and Lincoln Centers and in the 1980 Winter Olympics. Drawing upon Celtic, Appalachian, classical and world music roots, Walt’s distinctive musical stylings cast a rapturous spell. Joining Walt will be fellow virtuosos, bassist Ralph Gordon and fiddler Alexander Mitchell. Walt is also the noted founder and long-time artistic director of the Common Ground on the Hill multi-cultural arts and music festival.
