REPORTS & DECISIONS
FOG report concerning employment status: Marjory
Charles Patterson has been employed by Seekers for the past year as a contractor at $25 hour. His status changed in January when he became considered as staff but his financial contractor status was not changed at that time. Stewards voted the approval to change his status now to a regular stipend plus approximately 17% taxes.
Report/Discussion on Developments concerning Electric Maid/Dry Cleaners building – Margreta & Glen
There is a pending contract offer on this building. A counter offer has been offered and is awaiting approval. In the meantime, Margreta & Glen spoke with Manna’s Real Estate Development Officer, Raquel Montenegro about the opportunity to consider it themselves. (See attachment). After a long discussion considering our interest, Stewards decided to invite Manna to attend the June meeting to discuss their ideas. Then we can decide if and how to involve Seekers.
Debriefing Emmy Lu’s memorial service & general planning for such services – Marjory for Living Water
It was agreed that the service was exceptional. This was the result of many obstacles that were overcome in the process. The members of Living Water had attended to Emmy Lu’s needs for the months leading to her death. They were exhausted before carrying the majority of plans for the memorial and working with the family. Attached is a draft of a proposed checklist to spread out the responsibilities for memorial services going forward. Living Water plans to offer a Saturday zoom class to help us learn the signs of approaching death and how to proceed once it occurs.
