REFLECTION
What will we carry with us?
SILENCE
CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Make a joyful noise to the Holy One, all the earth.
People: Remember that the Holy One is God:
the One who made us,
the One who holds us,
the One who breathes within us.
Leader: Let us enter the holy gates with thanksgiving.
All: For God is good,
with steadfast love that endures forever,
and faithfulness to all generations.

SILENCE
LITANY
Leader: To you, Holy One,
we bring our gifts and heartaches,
those things visible and invisible
that we carry with us,
People: Our hopes and fears; our dreams and scars.
Leader: We offer them to you
that you might transform them
into the milk and honey of new life in our new land,
People: Our hopes and fears; our dreams and scars.

PRAYERS
CONFESSION
Leader: Holy God of all Creation,
we count on you for constancy, for change.
Voice 1: We want to trust you in all things,
but fear and anxiety cloud our trust.
Forgive us for our failing faith.
Voice 2: We want to trust you in all things,
but when we face the threat of war
our nights grow long with worry.
Forgive us for our failing faith.
All: We stand before the churning waters
of the river of new life.
We look across to new lands filled with promise,
but long for the familiarity of home.
Forgive us for our failing faith.
INDIVIDUAL PRAYERS OF CONFESSION
ASSURANCE
Leader: Each day the God of all Creation
offers us an opportunity to trust again,
to give ourselves to Christ,
to wade into the muddy wall of water.
The Holy One loves us
more deeply than we can ever imagine.
All: Amen.
