Spring 2016 – First Term

Tuesdays, February 2 – March 8

7:00 pm – 9:30 pm

Classes are free and all are welcome. A light dinner will be served at 7:00 ($4 donation suggested), and the actual classes begin around 7:45 and end at 9:30.

Rethinking Call in a Changing World  

Does God have a “good work” for me now? At this time in my life?  

Is there a new way for us to listen and respond together? 

Marjory Zoet Bankson will facilitate this class.

Prophets of Ancient Israel

We will focus on the eighth century BCE prophets, paying attention to the cultural/political conditions of the time, the prophetic call, the message itself, and the consequences for both the prophets and the nation. We will read and discuss the books of Amos, Hosea, Jeremiah, and first Isaiah.

Ken Burton will facilitate this class.
