PRELUDE

SILENCE

CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: There is no less holiness at this time

than there was the day the Red Sea parted.

Voice 1: There is no less might in heaven or on earth

than there was the day Jesus said “Maid, arise”

to the centurion’s daughter.

Voice 2: There is no less might in heaven or on earth

than there was the day Peter walked on the water.

Leader: In any instant the sacred may touch us.

All: In every instant we want to be open to God,

to feel God’s touch on our lives.

INVOCATION

HYMN

SILENCE

LITANY

Leader: The heavens are telling the glory of God

and the firmament proclaims God’s handiwork.

People: We rest in your world and are free.

Leader: Day to day pours forth speech

and night to night declares knowledge.

People: We hear your word and live.

their voice is not heard.

People: We rest in your world and are free.

Leader: Yet their voice goes out through all the earth

and their words to the end of the earth.

People: We hear your word and live.

PRAYERS

CONFESSION

Leader: What are we, that you are mindful of us,

that you care for us?

People: There is none wise and understanding among us.

Voice 1: We speak as the foolish would speak.

Voice 2: We have counseled with words without wisdom.

Leader: We have asked and not received

because we asked wrongly.

All: Today we confess our sins,

and pray for one another, that we might be healed.

ASSURANCE

Leader: The mercy and grace of the Holy One

overflows for us with the faith and love

that are in Christ Jesus.

All: Amen.

BENEDICTION

Leader: Every day the Divine speaks to us,

assuring us of God’s eternal love.

Go out into the world.

Listen for the whisper in your ear,

the shout in the wind.

Go in peace.

All: Amen.
