ENTRANCE

REFLECTION

"Jubilee" in Hebrew Scripture means dreaming a new dream; debts forgiven; redistribution of wealth; and, centrally, acknowledging that God is the owner.

In a topsy-turvy world humans can ease God's pain In gratitude for our salvation we can give to the world.  We can help God have less to cry about.

CONFESSION

Leader:      O God, you are very great,

you make the winds your messengers,

tame fire and flame to be your ministers.

All:             We long to be part of your grand design.

Voice 1:     We want to know your blessing.

Voice 2:     We want to be known as your blest.

Voice 1:     We confess how much we hunger

for the power to make a difference.

Voice 2:     We confess how hard it is

to rejoice in the middle of despair.

All:             We come to you wanting a favor,

wanting the assurance that our place is close to you,

even at the right hand of Christ.

ASSURANCE

Leader:      Let us bless and praise the God we serve,

the Spirit and Redeemer of all.

For the good news is this:

                  We are forgiven,

and welcome at Christ's Jubilee feast.

All:             Amen.
