Threatened with Resurrection!

REFLECTION

What keeps us from sleeping

is that

they have threatened us with resurrection.

Accompany us, then,

on this vigil

and you will know

how marvelous it is

to live

threatened with resurrection.

CONFESSION

Leader:      We come to celebrate the Good News.

Voice 1:     We long for a safe place to rest and be fed.

Voice 2:     In the midst of this troubled time

you invite us to walk with you.

Voice 1:     The road you walk is one we do not know,

and we are afraid.

Voice 2:     What shall we tell the world

when pain and anger boil over on the fire of our hope?

All:             Why does resurrection seem so complicated?

Leader:      Do not let your hearts be troubled,
for the risen Christ is among us,
 casting out fear
and calling us to new life in God's everlasting love.
